Nursing Team Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the nursing team to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing staff to improve patient care and team performance
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Manage nursing staff schedules, including staffing levels, shifts, and vacation time
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports

Requirements

  • BSc degree in Nursing from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Valid nursing license from the Ethiopian Nursing Council
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office and electronic medical records systems
  • Knowledge of Ethiopian healthcare policies and regulations, including those related to patient care and safety
