Job Title: Neonatal Nurse

Brief Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Neonatal Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Neonatal Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to newborn babies, particularly those who are premature, ill, or in need of special medical attention. Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring the health, comfort, and well-being of our youngest patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess the health and well-being of newborn babies, identifying any potential issues or abnormalities
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for each newborn, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
• Administer medications, perform medical procedures, and provide specialized care as needed
• Monitor and maintain specialized equipment, such as ventilators and incubators
• Communicate effectively with parents and families, providing emotional support and education on newborn care
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and progress
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Current registration with the Ethiopian Nursing Council
• At least 2 years of experience in neonatal nursing, preferably in a hospital setting
• Knowledge of Ethiopian healthcare policies and guidelines related to neonatal care
• Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
• Fluency in Amharic and English; knowledge of other local languages is an asset
