Job Title: Medical Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients, promoting health education, and contributing to the development of our healthcare services. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct medical examinations, diagnose and treat patients, and prescribe medications as necessary
• Develop and implement treatment plans, and provide ongoing care and support to patients
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, pharmacists, and laboratory technicians, to provide comprehensive care
• Participate in health education and promotion activities, including community outreach and public health initiatives
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, and ensure confidentiality and security of patient information
• Stay current with medical research, guidelines, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes

Requirements

• M.D. degree from a recognized medical school, with completion of internship and residency programs
• Registration with the Ethiopian Medical Association and possession of a valid medical license
• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a hospital or healthcare organization
• Strong knowledge of medical ethics, laws, and regulations, and commitment to upholding high standards of professional practice
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Proficiency in Amharic and English languages, with ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
• Basic computer skills, with ability to use electronic medical records and other healthcare software applications
