Job Title: Midwife Supervisor – Korem Project-Outreach Sites

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Midwife Supervisor to lead our outreach sites team in the Korem Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality midwifery services, supervising midwives, and ensuring that our outreach sites are providing exceptional care to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in midwifery, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor midwives at outreach sites to ensure high-quality midwifery services are delivered
  • Develop and implement work plans, budgets, and reports for outreach sites
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor service delivery, provide technical assistance, and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care
  • Participate in the development and implementation of training programs for midwives and other healthcare staff
  • Ensure that all services are delivered in accordance with national guidelines, protocols, and standards
  • Identify and mitigate risks, and implement measures to ensure patient safety and quality of care

Requirements

  • BSc degree in Midwifery from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • At least 3 years of experience in midwifery, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Current registration with the Ethiopian Midwifery Association
  • Strong knowledge of national guidelines, protocols, and standards for midwifery services
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Fluency in English and Amharic, with knowledge of local languages an advantage
  • Willingness to travel to outreach sites and work in rural areas
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
