Job Title: Midwife Nurse

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Midwife Nurse to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to expectant mothers, new mothers, and their families. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and experienced midwife to make a real difference in the lives of our patients and contribute to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide prenatal, postnatal, and labor care to patients, including conducting routine check-ups, monitoring fetal development, and assisting with births
  • Conduct routine health checks and screenings, including blood pressure, urine, and blood tests
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and healthcare assistants, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on topics such as pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and infant care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery from a recognized Ethiopian university or college
  • Registration with the Ethiopian Ministry of Health or the Ethiopian Nursing and Midwifery Council
  • At least 2 years of experience working as a midwife in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of midwifery principles, practices, and protocols, including those related to prenatal, postnatal, and labor care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Fluency in Amharic and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
