Job Title: Materials Engineer Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Materials Engineer Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing materials engineering activities, ensuring the quality and reliability of materials used in our operations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement materials management plans and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Conduct materials testing and analysis to ensure quality and reliability of materials used in our operations
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality materials and negotiate contracts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to ensure effective materials management
• Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues on materials-related issues
• Develop and maintain accurate records and reports on materials testing, inspection, and certification

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 3 years of experience in materials engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment
• Strong knowledge of materials science, testing, and analysis methods
• Experience with industry-standard software and equipment, such as materials testing machines and laboratory equipment
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Certification in materials engineering or a related field, such as Certified Materials Engineer (CME), is an advantage
