Job Title: Managing Director/General Manager

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Managing Director/General Manager to lead our organization in achieving its strategic objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing overall direction, guidance, and leadership to the company, ensuring the effective and efficient management of all aspects of the business. This is a senior leadership role that requires a high level of expertise, vision, and strategic thinking to drive growth, innovation, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s strategic plan, aligning with the organization’s mission, vision, and values
• Provide leadership and direction to the management team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence
• Oversee the development and execution of business plans, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall strategy
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including customers, partners, suppliers, and regulatory bodies
• Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
• Drive business growth, expansion, and diversification, exploring new opportunities and markets
• Monitor and evaluate the company’s performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions

Requirements

• MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant field (such as Business Administration, Management, or Economics) from a recognized Ethiopian or international university
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a similar industry or sector
• Proven track record of success in driving business growth, innovation, and excellence
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
• Strong analytical, financial, and business management skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Knowledge of Ethiopian laws, regulations, and industry standards, with experience in compliance and risk management
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with proficiency in MS Office and other business software applications
