Maintenance Engineer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment, as well as implementing maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability and efficiency of equipment and facilities
• Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify potential maintenance issues and implement corrective actions
• Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance technicians and other support staff
• Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Develop and manage maintenance budgets, including forecasting and scheduling maintenance activities
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, including occupational health and safety standards
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities

Requirements

• BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 3 years of experience in a maintenance engineering role, preferably in a similar industry
• Strong knowledge of maintenance principles, practices, and techniques, including predictive and preventive maintenance
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret technical data and make informed decisions
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance teams
• Familiarity with Ethiopian labor laws and regulations, including occupational health and safety standards
• Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance management software, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies
