Liaison Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Liaison Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will serve as a key point of contact between our organization and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and facilitating effective communication. The Liaison Officer will play a critical role in promoting our organization’s interests and objectives, while also providing support and guidance to internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and other organizations
  • Facilitate effective communication between internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are informed and up-to-date on relevant issues
  • Provide support and guidance to internal teams on matters related to external stakeholder engagement and communication
  • Represent our organization at external meetings, events, and conferences, promoting our interests and objectives
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for collaboration and partnership with external stakeholders, in line with our organization’s strategic objectives
  • Prepare and submit reports, briefings, and other documents as required, to keep internal stakeholders informed of external stakeholder engagement activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Public Relations, Communications, or Business Administration, from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • At least 3 years of experience in a liaison or communications role, preferably in a similar industry or sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with external stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of the Ethiopian business and regulatory environment, with a good understanding of government agencies and community groups
  • Fluency in Amharic and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound judgments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
