Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and flavor
• Plan and design menus, taking into account customer preferences, dietary requirements, and seasonal availability of ingredients
• Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
• Supervise and train junior kitchen staff to ensure they are performing their duties effectively and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
• Control food costs and minimize waste, ensuring effective use of resources
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and excellent customer experience

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field from a recognized institution in Ethiopia
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel, restaurant, or catering establishment
• Proven track record of preparing and cooking a wide range of dishes to high standards
• Excellent knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredient selection, and menu planning
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with ability to motivate and train junior staff
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and environmental sustainability practices
