Job Title: Junior Structural Engineer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Structural Engineer to join our team. As a Junior Structural Engineer, you will assist in the design, development, and implementation of structural systems for various construction projects. You will work closely with our team of experienced engineers to ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems, including buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve design and construction issues
• Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and calculations to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in structural engineering techniques and technologies

Requirements

• BSc degree in Civil Engineering or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in a design or construction company
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software, such as ETABS, SAP, or Autodesk
• Strong understanding of Ethiopian building codes and standards, including the Ethiopian Building Code (EBC)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients
• Registration with the Ethiopian Association of Civil Engineers (EACE) or willingness to register
