Junior Operator (Hawassa Plant)

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Operator to join our team at the Hawassa Plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment, monitoring production processes, and ensuring the overall efficiency and safety of the plant. Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment and machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures
• Monitor production processes and adjust as necessary to ensure optimal efficiency and quality
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to prevent downtime and ensure continuous production
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth production and resolve any issues that may arise
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
• Keep accurate records of production, maintenance, and other relevant data

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in a relevant field (e.g. mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering) from a recognized Ethiopian institution
• 0-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures, as well as relevant Ethiopian labor laws and regulations
• Basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office and other software applications
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as required
• Fluency in Amharic and English; knowledge of other local languages is an asset
