Job Title: IT Auditor II

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Auditor II to join our team, responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on IT audits to ensure the organization’s information systems are secure, reliable, and compliant with relevant regulations and standards. The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT audit, risk assessment, and compliance, with excellent analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute IT audits in accordance with the audit plan and department standards, including risk assessments, audit procedures, and reporting.
  • Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of IT controls, including security, data integrity, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Identify and assess IT risks, and provide recommendations for mitigation or remediation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT management and staff, to understand business processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present audit reports, including findings, recommendations, and action plans, to senior management and the audit committee.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements, and apply this knowledge to improve the IT audit function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, or a related field from a reputable Ethiopian university.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT audit, risk management, or a related field, with a strong understanding of IT controls, risk assessment, and compliance.
  • Certifications such as CISA, CIA, or CISM are highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of IT standards and frameworks, including COBIT, ISO 27001, and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English, with strong report-writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and stakeholder management.
