Job Title: Senior Spare Parts & Inventory Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Spare Parts & Inventory Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling the inventory of spare parts, ensuring that all parts are properly stored, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective inventory management systems to ensure accurate tracking and control of spare parts.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure that all spare parts are properly stored, labeled, and protected from damage.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including receipts, issues, and transfers.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and implement changes as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure that spare parts are sourced and purchased in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure that spare parts are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
  • Provide training and support to junior staff members to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration, from a recognized Ethiopian university.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory management, spare parts management, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proven track record of success in managing and controlling inventory, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software, such as SAP or ERP, and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on customer service and support.
