Innovation & Product Development Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Innovation & Product Development Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative products and services that meet the evolving needs of our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product development, innovation, and project management, with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct market research and analyze customer feedback to identify opportunities for innovation and product development
• Develop and implement product development strategies and plans to achieve business objectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and IT, to design and launch new products and services
• Manage the product development process, from concept to launch, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing products and services, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for innovation
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product development and innovation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 3 years of experience in product development, innovation, or a related field
• Proven track record of developing and launching successful products or services
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Strong project management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and product development software
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
