Job Title: Hostess (Fine Dining Restaurant)

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and charismatic Hostess to join our fine dining restaurant team in Ethiopia. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring seamless service, and providing exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests, making them feel valued and comfortable in our restaurant
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements to ensure efficient service
• Coordinate with servers and other staff to ensure timely and attentive service
• Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area, including the hostess stand and waiting area
• Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and take reservations or messages as needed
• Collaborate with the restaurant team to achieve sales goals, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance the overall dining experience

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian institution
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fine dining restaurant or high-end hospitality establishment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests, staff, and management
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a customer-centric approach
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively
• Familiarity with restaurant management systems and reservation software an asset
• Fluency in English and Amharic; additional languages a plus
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
