Head of Sales & Marketing/Advertising
Position Summary
The Head of Sales & Marketing/Advertising will be responsible for designing and executing the station’s commercial strategy. This includes driving airtime sales, securing corporate sponsorships, structuring creative advertising packages, and elevating the station’s overall brand presence. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the media landscape, a robust network of corporate clients and advertising agencies, and the leadership capacity to manage a high-performing sales force.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement aggressive short- and long-term sales and marketing strategies to achieve the station’s financial targets.
Lead the commercial team in selling commercial airtime, program sponsorships, spot advertisements, and digital media integrations.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients, advertising agencies, media buyers, and brand managers.
Collaborate with the Production and Content teams to design tailored, value-added promotional concepts for clients (e.g., special event sponsorships, interactive social media campaigns, and dedicated program segments).
Conduct ongoing market research, track media trends, and analyze competitor performance to accurately price airtime and position the channel effectively.
Supervise, mentor, and track the KPIs of account executives and marketing officers, fostering a results-driven and collaborative sales culture.
Prepare regular sales forecasts, and provide comprehensive revenue reports to executive management.
Salary: Negotiable, based on qualification and experience.

About You
Job Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Media/Communications, or a closely related field.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in sales, marketing, or advertising.
Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding aggressive commercial sales targets and negotiating high-value corporate contracts.
Deep familiarity with media buying metrics, broadcast scheduling, and the Ethiopian corporate and advertising landscape.
