Funded Traineeship for Young Graduates at the EU Delegation

Brief Summary

The European Union Delegation to the Holy See, the Sovereign Order of Malta, the UN Organisations in Rome and to the Republic of San Marino is offering a funded traineeship opportunity for young graduates. The traineeship aims to provide recent university graduates with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a multinational environment, enhance their skills, and develop a deeper understanding of the EU’s external relations. The selected candidates will be working closely with the delegation’s team on various tasks, including research, drafting reports, and participating in meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of meetings, events, and conferences, including research and drafting of reports and other documents
• Conduct research on various topics related to the EU’s external relations, including political, economic, and social issues
• Participate in meetings with EU officials, representatives of the Holy See, the Sovereign Order of Malta, the UN Organisations in Rome, and the Republic of San Marino
• Contribute to the drafting of reports, briefings, and other documents on EU-related topics
• Assist in the management of social media accounts and the delegation’s website
• Perform other tasks as required by the delegation

Requirements

• Be a young graduate (up to 1 year after graduation) with a university degree in a relevant field, such as international relations, politics, economics, law, or a related field
• Have an excellent command of English (written and spoken); knowledge of other EU languages is an asset
• Have strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise reports
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a multinational team
• Be a citizen of an Ethiopian university graduate or have a valid residence permit in Ethiopia
• Have a strong interest in the EU’s external relations and a willingness to learn
