Fleet Manager

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Fleet Manager to join our team. As a Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and maintenance of our company’s fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition, and that all transportation operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fleet management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fleet management strategies to optimize vehicle utilization, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all fleet vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition and meet all safety and regulatory requirements
• Manage and coordinate the scheduling and allocation of vehicles to meet business needs
• Monitor and analyze fleet performance data, including fuel consumption, vehicle usage, and maintenance costs
• Develop and manage budgets for fleet operations, including fuel, maintenance, and other related expenses
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to fleet management
• Supervise and train fleet staff, including drivers and maintenance personnel

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Logistics, or Transportation Management
• At least 3 years of experience in fleet management or a related field
• Strong knowledge of fleet management principles, practices, and regulations
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fleet management software
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
• Professional certification in fleet management, such as a Certified Fleet Manager (CFM) designation, is an asset
