Job Description

Job Title: Finance Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial activities of our organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The Finance Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of our organization, and will work closely with the management team to achieve our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage the organization’s budget, financial forecasts, and financial reports
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage and oversee the organization’s financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to the management team on financial matters
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, and manage the organization’s tax affairs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, bankers, and regulatory bodies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance role, preferably in a similar industry or organization
  • Professional certification in accounting, such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
  • Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and regulations, and experience with financial management software
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of integrity and professionalism
