Executive Housekeeper (House Keeping & Laundry Manager)

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Housekeeper to oversee the housekeeping and laundry operations of our luxury hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the housekeeping and laundry teams to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules, standards, and procedures to maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and quality
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and laundry facilities to ensure compliance with established standards
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve any issues or complaints
  • Monitor and control housekeeping and laundry expenses, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost-saving initiatives
  • Recruit, train, and develop housekeeping and laundry staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively
  • Analyze customer feedback and implement changes to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in housekeeping or laundry management, preferably in a luxury hotel or hospitality establishment
  • Proven track record of success in managing and supervising teams, with excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operations, including cleaning procedures, chemical handling, and equipment maintenance
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to ensure the smooth operation of the housekeeping and laundry departments
  • Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy, with experience in using hotel management software and Microsoft Office applications
