Job Title: Emergency Response Team Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Response Team Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing emergency response plans, ensuring a timely and effective response to emergencies, and maintaining the safety and well-being of our employees and assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain emergency response plans and procedures
• Conduct risk assessments and identify potential emergency scenarios
• Coordinate and conduct regular emergency response drills and training exercises
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a unified response to emergencies
• Provide support and guidance to employees during emergency situations
• Maintain accurate records of emergency response activities and incidents

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Emergency Management, Disaster Risk Management, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in emergency response, disaster management, or a related field
• Proven experience in developing and implementing emergency response plans and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations
• Knowledge of Ethiopian laws and regulations related to emergency management and disaster risk reduction
• First aid and basic life support certification is an advantage
• Fluency in Amharic and English is required, with knowledge of other local languages being an advantage
