Key Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and manage pharmaceutical supplies and equipment
• Dispense medications to patients according to prescriptions and medical instructions
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medication dispensing and inventory
• Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide information on medication use and potential interactions
• Provide education and counseling to patients on proper medication use and potential side effects
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Valid license to practice as a pharmacist or pharmacy technician from the Ethiopian Food and Drug Authority
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably in a hospital or retail pharmacy
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacy laws, and regulations in Ethiopia
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders
• Proficiency in Amharic and English, with the ability to read, write, and speak fluently
• Basic computer skills, with the ability to use pharmacy management software and other digital tools
