Job Title: Driver

Brief Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting employees, visitors, and goods to various destinations in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Ethiopian roads and traffic laws, excellent driving skills, and a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport employees, visitors, and goods to various destinations in a safe and timely manner
• Maintain the vehicle in good condition, including regular cleaning, maintenance, and reporting any mechanical issues
• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian traffic laws and regulations, including wearing a seatbelt, using a phone hands-free, and adhering to speed limits
• Provide excellent customer service, including assisting passengers with luggage and responding to queries in a professional and courteous manner
• Keep accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance records
• Perform other driving-related duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of driving experience, preferably with a reputable organization
• Valid Ethiopian driver’s license, category B or higher
• High school diploma or equivalent (e.g. TVET certificate)
• Defensive driving skills and a strong knowledge of Ethiopian roads and traffic laws
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact with people at all levels
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects (if required)
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair (desirable)
