Job Title: Driver

Brief Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting staff, clients, and goods in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Ethiopian roads, excellent driving skills, and a good understanding of vehicle maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport staff, clients, and goods to and from various locations in a safe and timely manner
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition
• Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any issues encountered
• Comply with all traffic laws and regulations, including wearing a seatbelt and using a mobile phone hands-free kit
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking oil and tire pressure
• Assist with loading and unloading goods and equipment as required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of driving experience, preferably with a reputable organization
• Valid Ethiopian driver’s license, class B or higher
• Secondary school completion certificate, such as Ethiopian General Secondary Education Certificate (EGSEC)
• Defensive driving skills and knowledge of safe driving practices
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with staff, clients, and the general public in a professional manner
