DIC Counsellor (Female Only)

Brief Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced DIC Counsellor to provide counseling services to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing emotional support, guidance, and counseling to individuals in need. Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients, focusing on their emotional and psychological well-being
• Conduct assessments and develop personalized counseling plans to address clients’ specific needs
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all counseling sessions
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to clients
• Develop and implement community outreach programs to promote mental health awareness and education

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in counseling, preferably in a similar setting
• Registration with the Ethiopian Ministry of Health or a relevant professional body
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with clients from diverse backgrounds
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to develop effective counseling plans
• Fluency in Amharic and English; knowledge of other local languages is an advantage
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
