Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve customer complaints via phone, email, and in-person
  • Provide accurate and timely information to customers regarding our products and services
  • Process customer transactions, such as account openings, deposits, and withdrawals
  • Identify and escalate complex customer issues to senior management or specialized teams as needed
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and improve overall customer experience
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions
  • Participate in customer service training and development programs to continuously improve skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in customer service or a related field, preferably in a banking or financial institution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers and colleagues at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve customer complaints in a fair and efficient manner
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Fluency in Amharic and English, with knowledge of local languages (e.g. Tigrinya) an advantage
  • Knowledge of Ethiopian banking laws and regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices
