Credit Analysis Officer – Internal/External

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Analysis Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing credit data and financial information to determine the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to assess the creditworthiness of clients
• Prepare and present credit analysis reports to management and other stakeholders
• Conduct site visits and interviews with clients to gather additional information and verify credit data
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the organization’s credit policies and procedures
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that credit decisions are aligned with business objectives
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory requirements that may impact credit decisions
• Provide training and support to junior staff members as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 3 years of experience in credit analysis or a related field, preferably in a banking or financial institution
• Professional certification in credit analysis, such as CFA or CPA, is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, credit risk assessment, and credit scoring models
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with credit analysis software and systems
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
