Job Title: Construction Manager

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Construction Manager to oversee our construction projects in Ethiopia. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Construction Manager will work closely with our team of architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that all projects are executed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement construction project plans, schedules, and budgets
• Coordinate and supervise construction activities, including site preparation, excavation, construction, and completion
• Manage and coordinate the work of contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that could impact project timelines or budgets
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve design and construction issues
• Prepare and submit project reports, including progress reports, budget reports, and completion reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully managing construction projects in Ethiopia
• Professional certification in construction management, such as PMP or CCM, is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian building codes, regulations, and standards
• Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment
• Fluency in Amharic and English is required, with knowledge of other local languages being an advantage
