Job Description

Formal Education and knowledge:

PhD in Agriculture, Crop Science
Knowledge and trainings in project management and result monitoring tools
Professional Experience:

15 years of professional experience and out of it 7years in project management/coordination or similar experience;
basic understanding and work experience in GIZ management tool, Onsite operations, GIZ result based model and “Capacity Works” are additional assets.
good knowledge about Ethiopian agricultural sector and its institutional setup
experience in leading the conceptualization, operational planning and implementation of project activities as per the project objectives
Other Qualifications:

ability to understand complex interactions between different stakeholders and sectors;
language skills: Fluent spoken and written skills in English and Amharic;
Social Interaction skills:

proactive personality;
solution-oriented;
good communication and negotiation skills;
excellent analytical skills;
able to work in an interdisciplinary context;
