Chief Facility, Maintenance, and Engineering Officer (CFMEO)

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chief Facility, Maintenance, and Engineering Officer (CFMEO) to lead our facility management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and engineering operations of our facilities, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and well-maintained. The CFMEO will also develop and implement strategies to improve facility operations, reduce costs, and enhance the overall quality of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement facility management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and renovation of facilities, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
• Manage and supervise a team of facility management staff, including engineers, technicians, and maintenance personnel
• Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and address potential issues and hazards
• Develop and manage budgets for facility operations, maintenance, and capital projects
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure facility operations support business objectives and goals
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to facility management and maintenance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field) from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 8 years of experience in facility management, maintenance, or engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role
• Professional certification in facility management, such as CFM (Certified Facility Manager) or FMP (Facility Management Professional), is an advantage
• Proven experience in managing and supervising teams, with strong leadership and communication skills
• Strong knowledge of facility management principles, practices, and technologies, including building codes, regulations, and industry standards
• Experience with budgeting, cost control, and financial management, with ability to manage and analyze financial data
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
