Call for Consultancy Service on Private Business Advisory for Growth (P-BAG) for MSEs and Start-ups (Bid No. 029/26/SNV)

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced consultant to provide private business advisory services for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) and start-ups under the Private Business Advisory for Growth (P-BAG) program. The consultant will be responsible for providing tailored business advisory services, mentorship, and coaching to MSEs and start-ups, with a focus on enhancing their growth, productivity, and competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough business assessments and analysis to identify areas of improvement for MSEs and start-ups
  • Develop and implement tailored business advisory plans, including strategies for growth, marketing, finance, and operations
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to MSEs and start-ups, including one-on-one sessions, group training, and workshops
  • Facilitate access to finance, markets, and other business development services for MSEs and start-ups
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of MSEs and start-ups, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders, including business associations, financial institutions, and government agencies, to promote the growth and development of MSEs and start-ups

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • At least 5 years of experience in business advisory services, entrepreneurship development, or a related field
  • Proven track record of providing business advisory services to MSEs and start-ups, with a focus on growth, productivity, and competitiveness
  • Excellent understanding of the Ethiopian business environment, including policies, regulations, and market trends
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders
  • Fluency in English and Amharic is required, with proficiency in other local languages being an advantage
  • Experience working with international organizations, NGOs, or government agencies is an added advantage
