Block and Concrete Batching Plant Manager
Brief Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Block and Concrete Batching Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our batching plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient production of high-quality concrete and blocks, while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the batching plant, including production planning, quality control, and maintenance.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of plant personnel, including operators, technicians, and laborers.
- Monitor and control the quality of concrete and blocks produced, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Implement and maintain a safety management system, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, spare parts, and other supplies, ensuring timely ordering and minimizing waste.
- Analyze production data and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Develop and implement training programs for plant personnel, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and logistics, to ensure seamless delivery of products to customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a concrete batching plant or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of concrete and block production processes, quality control, and safety management systems.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of employees.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other software applications, such as ERP systems and quality management software.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to different sites and locations.
