Job Title: BASELINE ASSESSMENT FOR TRAIL BRIDGE SUPPORT UNIT
Brief Summary
The Baseline Assessment for Trail Bridge Support Unit is a short-term consultancy position that aims to conduct a comprehensive baseline assessment of the existing trail bridge support unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data, identifying gaps, and developing recommendations to improve the unit’s effectiveness. This role requires a highly skilled and experienced professional with expertise in baseline assessments, data analysis, and report writing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive baseline assessment of the existing trail bridge support unit, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Develop a detailed methodology and work plan for the baseline assessment, in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
- Identify gaps and areas for improvement in the trail bridge support unit and develop recommendations for addressing these gaps.
- Develop a comprehensive report detailing the findings of the baseline assessment, including recommendations for improving the unit’s effectiveness.
- Present the findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders, including government officials, donors, and project team members.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university.
- At least 5 years of experience in conducting baseline assessments, data analysis, and report writing, preferably in the context of trail bridge support units or similar infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in data collection, analysis, and interpretation, with expertise in using statistical software packages such as SPSS, SPSS, or similar.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify gaps and develop recommendations for improvement.
- Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines.
