Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve targets for medical and pharmaceutical equipment.
• Identify and establish relationships with hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare institutions.
• Handle negotiations and close deals with international clients and suppliers.
• Assist the Director in planning, organizing, and directing organizational activities.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Implement policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives.
Import & Logistics Management:
• Coordinate the importation of sophisticated medical equipment in compliance with local regulations.
• Liaise with international vendors, freight forwarders, and customs authorities to ensure timely delivery.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
Technical & Installation Oversight:
• Oversee the installation, calibration, and commissioning of medical equipment at client sites.
• Provide technical support and training to hospital staff on new equipment.
Regulatory & Compliance:
• Ensure all imported equipment meet national standards and regulations.
• Maintain proper documentation for importation, sales, and certification.
• Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and public events.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
• Support the sales team with technical expertise and market insights.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and technical teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Supervise, mentor, and support departmental managers and staff.
• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
About You
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree/Masters in Pharmacy, Medical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. 10 years’ experience five years in Managerial/Director position
• Extensive experience in medical equipment sales, importation, and healthcare industry.
• Knowledge of medical equipment installation, calibration, and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of international procurement procedures and regulations.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Amharic is advantageous.

Preferred Skills:
• Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Familiarity with the Ethiopian healthcare market and regulatory environment.
• Technical background in medical devices or biomedical engineering.
• Good Leadership skills
