Job Description

Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project plans, resource allocation plans, and project schedules
  • Lead and manage high-performing project teams, including setting goals, providing coaching, and evaluating performance
  • Coordinate and facilitate communication among project stakeholders, including project team members, customers, and executives
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans as needed
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
  • Monitor and control project progress, identify and address deviations from plans, and take corrective action as needed
  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards, and that projects are completed to the satisfaction of stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as Business Administration, Engineering, or Computer Science) from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a senior project management role
  • Professional certification in project management (such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile) is an advantage
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects, with experience in managing project teams, budgets, and stakeholders
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and tactically
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as MS Project, Asana, or Trello
  • Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
