Senior Project Performance and Financial Auditor

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Performance and Financial Auditor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, conducting, and reporting on project performance and financial audits to ensure the effective and efficient use of resources. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement audit plans, risk assessments, and audit procedures to ensure the effective examination of project performance and financial activities
• Conduct audits of project financial statements, internal controls, and operating procedures to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of project operations, including the use of resources, and provide recommendations for improvement
• Prepare and present audit reports to senior management and other stakeholders, including findings, recommendations, and action plans
• Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement corrective action plans to address audit findings and improve project performance
• Stay up-to-date with changing laws, regulations, and industry standards, and apply this knowledge to audit activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Professional certification in auditing, such as CPA, ACCA, or CIA, is required
• At least 5 years of experience in project performance and financial auditing, with a focus on development projects or a similar field
• Proven experience in planning, conducting, and reporting on audits, including risk assessments and audit procedures
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian laws and regulations, as well as international auditing standards
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders
• Fluency in Amharic and English is required, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
