Job Title: Designer Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test new products, systems, and processes to meet customer requirements and business needs
• Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and develop innovative solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and manufacturing to ensure effective implementation of designs
• Develop and maintain detailed design documentation, including drawings, models, and specifications
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 3 years of experience in design engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Proven proficiency in CAD software, such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, including mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials science
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Certification in design engineering or a related field, such as PE (Professional Engineer) or CE (Certified Engineer), is an asset
• Knowledge of Ethiopian industry standards and regulations, such as those related to safety, health, and environment
