Job Title: High School Teachers (Multiple Subjects)

Brief Summary

We are seeking experienced and dedicated High School Teachers to join our team in various subjects including Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English, Business and Economics, and Civics. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality education to our students, promoting academic excellence, and fostering a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of students with varying learning styles and abilities
• Deliver instruction in the assigned subject area, utilizing a range of teaching methods and resources
• Assess student progress, identify areas of improvement, and provide constructive feedback to students and parents
• Participate in curriculum development, staff meetings, and other school activities as required
• Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, empathy, and social responsibility
• Stay up-to-date with developments in the subject area and incorporate new technologies and resources into teaching practices
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievement
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents to ensure a collaborative approach to education

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject area (e.g., Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English, Business and Economics, Civics) from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) or a related field, or a teaching certification from the Ethiopian Ministry of Education
• At least 2 years of teaching experience in a high school setting, preferably in a private or international school
• Strong knowledge of the Ethiopian national curriculum and teaching standards
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the development of the school
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other educational software applications
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) and Amharic (spoken)
