Job Title: Transport & General Service Head

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport & General Service Head to lead our transport and general services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the organization’s transportation and general services operations, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services. This is a senior management role that requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement transport and general services strategies and policies to support the organization’s goals and objectives
• Manage and coordinate the maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and facilities to ensure they are in good working condition
• Supervise and direct the transport and general services team, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high-quality services
• Coordinate and manage the organization’s transportation needs, including scheduling, routing, and logistics
• Develop and manage budgets for transport and general services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value for money
• Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and government agencies
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Logistics, or Transportation Management
• At least 5 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably in transport or general services management
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian transportation laws and regulations
• Proven experience in managing and coordinating transport and general services operations
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Fluency in Amharic and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Computer literacy, with experience in using Microsoft Office and other relevant software
