BIOMED TECHNICIAN – KOREM PROJECT
Brief Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Biomed Technician to join our team for the Korem Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing medical equipment, as well as providing technical support to ensure the smooth operation of our medical facilities. Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair medical equipment, including diagnostic and therapeutic devices
- Perform routine inspections and safety checks on medical equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Provide technical support and training to healthcare professionals on the safe and effective use of medical equipment
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of medical equipment with existing systems and infrastructure
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance
- Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections, and provide reports as required
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Equipment Technology, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
- At least 2 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of medical equipment, including diagnostic and therapeutic devices, and familiarity with regulatory standards and guidelines
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex medical equipment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results and excellent customer service
