Job Purpose

The Construction Operations Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing all construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and contractual requirements while optimizing resources and achieving project objectives.

Reports To: Chief Technical officer

Duty Station: Jimma Housing Project

Salary & Benefits: Negotiable, commensurate with qualifications and experience

Duties and Responsibilities

Plan, direct, and coordinate all construction activities to ensure project delivery on time and within budget.
Oversee project schedules, resource allocation, and workforce productivity.
Monitor compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Review project progress and implement corrective actions when required.
Manage project costs, cash flow, and operational performance.
Resolve technical, contractual, and operational issues efficiently.
Prepare and present regular progress and performance reports to management.
Lead and develop project teams to achieve organizational objectives.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management
Professional Experience

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Construction Operations or project management
