Brief Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Head – Non Product Item to lead our procurement team in managing the acquisition of non-product items. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for non-product items to achieve cost savings and improve efficiency
- Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and stay up-to-date with market trends and prices
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure best value for the company
- Collaborate with other departments to identify procurement needs and develop solutions
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations
- Manage and analyze procurement data to identify areas for improvement and optimize procurement processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Professional certification in procurement, such as CIPS or CPSM, is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of Ethiopian procurement laws and regulations, as well as international best practices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Strong analytical and data management skills, with experience in procurement software and systems
- Fluency in English and Amharic, with knowledge of other local languages an advantage
