Job Description

Job Title: Mobile Health and Nutrition Team Leader

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Mobile Health and Nutrition Team Leader to lead our team in providing essential health and nutrition services to vulnerable populations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of mobile health and nutrition programs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services, and managing a team of health and nutrition professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of health and nutrition professionals to achieve program goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement mobile health and nutrition program strategies and work plans
  • Coordinate with local health authorities, partners, and stakeholders to ensure effective program implementation
  • Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation of program activities to ensure quality and impact
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members on health and nutrition services, including training and capacity building
  • Manage program budgets, resources, and logistics to ensure efficient and effective use of resources
  • Represent the organization in relevant forums and meetings, including cluster meetings and technical working groups

Requirements

  • BSc degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • At least 5 years of experience in health and nutrition programming, including experience in mobile health and nutrition services
  • Proven experience in team leadership and management, with strong supervisory and coaching skills
  • Strong technical knowledge of health and nutrition services, including maternal and child health, infectious diseases, and nutrition
  • Experience in program planning, implementation, and evaluation, including monitoring and evaluation
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and networking skills, with ability to work with diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency in English and Amharic, with ability to communicate in other local languages an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel to field locations
  • Valid Ethiopian driver’s license and ability to drive a 4×4 vehicle an asset
