Job Title: Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning Coordinator (MERL Coo)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning plans to track program performance and progress
• Design and conduct research studies, surveys, and assessments to inform program design and improvement
• Collaborate with program teams to develop and implement data collection tools, methods, and protocols
• Analyze and interpret data, and prepare reports and presentations to stakeholders
• Identify and document best practices, lessons learned, and areas for improvement
• Facilitate learning and knowledge-sharing events, workshops, and training sessions
• Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including partners, donors, and government agencies

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Monitoring and Evaluation, Research Methods, Statistics, or Social Sciences
• At least 3 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning, preferably in the development sector
• Strong knowledge of research design, methods, and statistical analysis
• Experience with data management and analysis software, such as SPSS, Stata, or R
• Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent writing and speaking skills
• Familiarity with Ethiopian development context and trends
