Job Title: Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning Coordinator (MERL Coo)

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning plans to track program performance and progress
- Design and conduct research studies, surveys, and assessments to inform program design and improvement
- Collaborate with program teams to develop and implement data collection tools, methods, and protocols
- Analyze and interpret data, and prepare reports and presentations to stakeholders
- Identify and document best practices, lessons learned, and areas for improvement
- Facilitate learning and knowledge-sharing events, workshops, and training sessions
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including partners, donors, and government agencies
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Monitoring and Evaluation, Research Methods, Statistics, or Social Sciences
- At least 3 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning, preferably in the development sector
- Strong knowledge of research design, methods, and statistical analysis
- Experience with data management and analysis software, such as SPSS, Stata, or R
- Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent writing and speaking skills
- Familiarity with Ethiopian development context and trends
