System & Network Administrator

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System & Network Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and maintenance of our computer systems and network infrastructure. This includes ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our systems, as well as providing technical support to our users. Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, and related equipment
• Monitor system performance, identify and resolve issues, and implement upgrades and patches as necessary
• Ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data, including implementing backup and disaster recovery procedures
• Provide technical support and training to users, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues
• Develop and implement network and system security policies and procedures
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and services
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in system and network administration, and make recommendations for improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 3 years of experience in system and network administration, preferably in a similar industry or environment
• Strong knowledge of operating systems, including Windows and Linux
• Experience with network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
• Knowledge of security best practices and experience with security technologies, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide technical support and training to users
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Cisco CCNA are an asset
• Fluency in Amharic and English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment
