Job Title: Senior Sanitary Engineer (Re-Advertised)

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Sanitary Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining sanitary systems and infrastructure, ensuring the highest standards of public health and environmental protection. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement sanitary systems, including water supply, sewage, and waste management infrastructure
• Conduct site inspections and surveys to identify sanitary engineering needs and develop solutions
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure integrated planning and implementation of sanitary engineering projects
• Develop and review technical reports, specifications, and drawings for sanitary engineering projects
• Provide technical guidance and supervision to junior engineers and technicians
• Ensure compliance with national and international standards, regulations, and guidelines for sanitary engineering

Requirements

• MSc or BSc degree in Sanitary Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sanitary engineering, with a focus on design, implementation, and maintenance of sanitary systems
• Professional certification from the Ethiopian Ministry of Water, Irrigation and Electricity or other relevant professional bodies
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian laws, regulations, and standards related to sanitary engineering
• Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant engineering tools
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
