Junior Pharmacist

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Pharmacist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient counseling, and supporting the pharmacy team in delivering high-quality patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent pharmacy graduate to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense medications to patients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to prescription instructions
• Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and potential interactions
• Conduct medication reviews and make recommendations to healthcare professionals as needed
• Support the pharmacy team in maintaining accurate patient records and inventory management
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and pharmacy services
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (BPharm) from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Registration with the Ethiopian Food and Drug Administration (EFDA) as a pharmacist
• Completion of a pharmacy internship program or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacotherapeutics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and pharmacy staff
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and adherence to pharmacy protocols
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmacy management software (desirable)
• Fluency in Amharic and English (spoken and written)
