Job Title: Product Cost Manager

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced Product Cost Manager to join our team. As a Product Cost Manager, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the cost of our products, ensuring that we remain competitive in the market while maintaining profitability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and procurement, to identify areas of cost reduction and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cost management strategies to achieve business objectives
• Analyze and optimize product costs, including material, labor, and overhead costs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of cost reduction and implement cost-saving initiatives
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses to support business decisions
• Develop and maintain cost models and databases to support cost management activities
• Provide cost guidance and support to product development teams
• Identify and mitigate cost risks associated with product development and production

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost management, accounting, or finance, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
• Professional certification in cost management, such as CMA or CPA, is an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with cost management software and systems
• Strong business acumen and understanding of market trends and competitive landscape
