Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participates in the preparation of procurement plan; ascertains that the Company’s economic and other advantages are always secured in all purchase dealings and transactions; maintains up-to-date data on prices, suppliers and other necessary information.
Verify purchase requisitions for proper authorization, and budget clearance; ensures the checking of accuracy of part numbers, specifications and other particulars.
Assists in the analysis and evaluation of offers; prepares award letters and gets them signed by supervisor as per procedures.
Prepares purchase orders or purchase agreements; examines and ascertains the accuracy, the completeness and timeliness.
Ascertains the receipt of purchased items and services as per purchase orders or purchase agreements and purchase requisitions.
Arranges for and facilitates payment to be made to suppliers against the presentation of official receipts and other necessary supporting documents.
Prepares letter of credit and related matters as regards foreign purchase.
Expedites the timely customs clearance of goods, supplies and other items purchased from foreign sources.
Supports in all logistic activities of the company
Reports to supervisor regarding damaged, undelivered or short-landed goods and follows-up the processing of insurance claims as per insurance policies /contracts.
Ensures systematic and safe maintenance of documents, records, files, forms, etc.
Ensures that all problems related to food safety management system is reported to immediate supervisor and Quality personnel.
Ensure compliance with the relevant requirements of local, national and international laws related to environmental standards and end client’s environmental requirements.
Ensure reduction targets (environmental objectives) are in place for environmental aspects e.g. water consumption and discharge, waste, energy and greenhouse gas emissions.
Determine environmental aspects and impacts and devise methods to prevent or reduce these environmental impacts.
Use the 3R + 1R rule (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rethink) to avoid or minimize discharges to water, emissions to air and disposal to land.
Implement, document, maintain and continually improve the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015).
Performs other related duties as required.

About You
Education: BA degree in Supply chain management, Procurement management or any other related field of study

Experience: 0 year
